Sylvester & Blessing
We’re grateful for the journey that brought us here and look forward to creating a future together.
How We Met 💍
On a faithful afternoon, she was sent by her mum to the market at Ahwiaa to get some foodstuffs for supper. After helping her mum, she was on her way home, carrying the polythene bag nicely on her head like a proper Ghanaian lady.
At the same time, I was also passing through the Ahwiaa Park area, not knowing I was about to meet my future wife.
As she was crossing the road, the bag suddenly fell and everything scattered—tomatoes here, onions there… it was a full display.
I couldn’t just walk past, so I stopped to help her pick them up. Little did I know that the tomatoes I was picking that day came with a lifetime commitment. 😂
Later that same evening, I saw her again at our usual hanging spot. But this time, I was in a bit of a situation—arguing with one girl over sugarcane.
She walked up to me and said,
“Please stop fighting and come and take some from me.”
And just like that, she settled the matter. That was how we started talking and became friends.
Back then, she had a group of about five girls, and I was the only boy around. People in the area didn’t make things easy at all—they kept saying I had five girlfriends at the same time. 😂
But as we entered JHS, things became different. Everyone went their separate ways, and somehow, it was mostly just the two of us.
Then one time, she fell seriously ill and stayed home for almost a month. I wanted to check on her, but her dad was very strict—and honestly, I valued my life. 😄
So I sent a friend with a card.
Inside that card… was a love letter. 💌
We were only in JHS 1, but I already knew she was special.
She acted like she wasn’t interested 😝 but I could tell there was something there.
Later, when it was time for BECE, she went to boarding school at WESCO, Suame Roundabout. Just before her exams, I went to visit her with some gifts, a success card, and another love letter. 💌
From that point, our bond only grew stronger.
The rest, as they say, is history. 😂💍
We are truly grateful to God for how everything started. What began as a simple act of kindness has grown into something beautiful, filled with love, purpose, and grace. And today, we’re thankful for every step that brought us here.
